I take Bitter Melon, Berberine and Chromium to regulate my blood sugar since my body can't tolerate meds for type 2 diabetes.

After taking the bitter melon supplement you sense your body feels a little bit better and can tolerate carbs much more easily than not. It sounds crazy but thats how my 58 yr old body reacts after taking it daily.
I have tried a different Bitter Mellon extract and it didn't seem to help at all. Before I started adding supplements my morning fast numbers were 130 to 135. Since I've been taking things other supplements, I have got my numbers down between 100 and 110. I've been taking 5 a day of Ganoherb biter melon (spread out over the entire day). The 1st month I only saw a little improvement, however, for the 2nd month I've been consistently between 95 and 100 except I ran a little short and the reading popped back up to 109. I've even pushed my sugar intake up a little to see what would happen, but my numbers stayed stable. All I can say is what happened for me, and I don't know what affect on my A1c is yet, but my fasting numbers have certainly improved.
I do not have diabetes but I have a family history of pancreatic cancer so I decided to take these as a preventative measure. Previously Id been eating slices of pickled bitter melon but the taste was still not great so I decided to try these. I took one before I went to bed and woke up light-headed. I didnt even have to stand up to feel dizzy and it lasted all day. I dont know if itd be better to take this in the day with food or just take half the powder of a capsule at a time but just be careful if you dont already have high blood sugar before taking these.
